I can’t help but love all of these kinds of cake pans, even though it’s the kind of thing you might only use once.
Still, this Snowy Village Caklet Pan is almost two products in one. It’s a delicious dessert, and it makes a nice display, very much reminiscent of a gingerbread house.

Serious Eats is reporting a nationwide shortage of canned pumpkin this year. It appears that less-than-ideal growing conditions are to blame. It’s probably worth stocking up if you see some in your local store, because, well, it’s canned.

Last year for my family’s Christmas dinner I made this Apple Cranberry Stuffed Pork Roast from Elise’s Simply Recipes. The stuffing is a delicious chutney of apples, cranberries, shallots and spices. I think it went over well.
If you can, do a test run of your Christmas dinner beforehand; it’ll make Christmas day a lot less stressful.
