I’ve been keeping a look out for last-minute, non-food crafting or just making ideas. This is actually remarkably hard. I’m not looking to make decorations, necessarily; I want week-of-Christmas activities.
Oh, and I don’t knit.
So what about these paper drops ornaments? Simple. Elegant.
Try some fancy paper!

I can’t help but love all of these kinds of cake pans, even though it’s the kind of thing you might only use once.
Still, this Snowy Village Caklet Pan is almost two products in one. It’s a delicious dessert, and it makes a nice display, very much reminiscent of a gingerbread house.

This is the Farmhouse Canopy Bed from Pottery Barn.
Obviously this isn’t a Christmas item, but…when I saw this photo in the catalog my heart skipped a beat.
How beautiful, festive and classic is that fresh greenery? And the glass balls?
It almost makes me want to buy the whole bed. Almost.

I found this tree topper while browsing the Pottery Barn website for all of their new Christmas goodies. Its beauty and simplicity really struck me.
I love the idea of a mirrored tree topper instead of a lighted one, to reflect all of the lights on the tree already.
It’s a little rustic, a little vintage, and sure to stand the test of time.
And at around $40, it won’t break the bank, either.

Just yesterday I got a Crate & Barrel catalog in the mail. A Christmas catalog. They always have a really nice assortment of ornaments and holiday decor.
This centerpiece really caught my eye. I love the modern lines and the fun play on an ornament tree. According to the catalog and the website, it’s based on an in-store display and was brought to you at the request of customers!
You can also get this set of ornaments to go with, but, I say, don’t limit yourself. Almost anything would work here. I could also see this repurposed in the spring with hanging Easter eggs.
